Rawalpindi: Female SHO lodges FIR against husband
RAWALPINDI: In a unique episode, the station house officer (SHO) of the Women Police Station has lodged a complaint with the Race Course Police Chowki that a man, reportedly her husband, attempted to kidnap her when she was going home in the early hours of Wednesday, police said. Police have registered an FIR against the nominated man and started investigation.
The interesting side of the episode is that Sardar Shafqat, claiming to be the husband of Women Police Station SHO Inspector Bushra Batool, had already lodged a complaint with the RPO, Rawalpindi, saying he got married with Inspector Bushra Batool some four years back and they were spending their lives as husband and wife in a house at Afshan Colony, Rawalpindi, since their wedlock. He alleged that Inspector Bushra Batool grabbed his gold ornaments weighing 80 tolas and Rs3.5 million when they were living together.
While Inspector Bushra Batool, daughter of Ghulam Sabir, resident of PB-726, Afshan Colony, Millatabad, Rawalpindi, lodged a complaint with the Race Course Police stating that she was coming back home in her police vehicle along with her brother Rafid Ali when Sardar Shafqat and an unidentified man, riding a white Suzuki Alto car, intercepted her vehicle on Wednesday. Sardar Shafqat came out of his car and pulled her out of her vehicle after breaking windscreen and started torturing her. He tried to kidnap her but she resisted his attempt.
