Peshawar: 2 convicted of killing their cousin
PESHAWAR: A local court here on Saturday convicted two brothers for killing their four-year-old cousin and sentenced them to 25 years rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs50,000 each. The court of additional district and sessions judge, Mohammad Ameen Kundi, observed that the prosecution had proved its case against the two accused named Farmanullah and Fateh Gul.
An FIR was registered against the two convicts at Gulbahar police station on Aug 21, 2010. They were charged under section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code. The complainant in the case was Naqab Khan, father of the deceased child Saqib Khan, a resident of Mohallah Islamabad.
Advocate Arshad Hussain Yousafzai appeared for the complainant and contended that the accused were having dispute with the complainant over a residence in which the two families had been residing on different storeys.
