Khanewal: 2 rustlers held, cattle recovered
KHANEWAL: Police have arrested two members of inter–district rustler gangs involved in more than 30 incidents of cattle thefts and recovered seven buffaloes and arms from them. Talking to journalists here on Friday, DPO Waqar Abbasi said ten culprits enter a dairy farm of Khursheed Ali of Chak 129/15L, Mian Channu and tortured him and his servant and took away buffaloes and other cattle in a vehicle.
DPO said he formed a team to trace the criminals. The DPO said ringleader Falak Sher of Chak 121/9L was also a proclaimed offender and he had been stealing cattle for the last many years. The investigating team traced the gang and the police arrested Falak Sher and Tariq Javid and eight other accomplices. During interrogation, seven cattle/buffaloes, two pistols and 15 bullets were recovered. The DPO said 32 FIRs had been registered against the accused in Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Khanewal, Faisalabad and others.
