Lahore: 2 man shot dead
LAHORE: Two people were shot dead while two others were found murdered in separate incidents in the city on Friday. Mushtaq Ahmad, a milkman of Kasur, was shot dead allegedly by Hayyat, alias Hayatu, and his brother, Yasin, over a monetary dispute in Raiwind city.
Quoting the victim’s family, the police said Mushtaq used to supply milk to Hayyat for last many months. Both the parties had an argument when Mushtaq demanded arrears from Hayyat to which the latter took an exception and later, along with his brother Yasin, shot at the former, killing him on the spot.
The police arrested the two suspects and registered a case against them on the complaint of victim’s brother Muhammad Arshad. Three alleged drug peddlers shot a man dead over a minor issue in Kahna.
Ashiq Ali, of Shahzada Road, allegedly tried to stop a drug peddler identified as Saleem from running the infamous business in the area. Saleem later appeared with his two accomplices and shot at and injured Ashiq critically.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to bullet wounds. The police registered a case against the suspects who fled. The Baghbanpura police found the body of a factory watchman who went missing a couple of months ago.
Rasheed Ahmad, of Kohat, worked as a watchman in a Jeddah Colony factory and was apparently kidnapped by unidentified people a couple of months back.
Some locals alerted the police after spotting a putrefied body in an under-construction building. The police seized the body and the victim was identified as missing watchman.
The Batapur police found the body of an unidentified youth in BRB Canal. It seemed that the youth was strangled to death. The police sent the body for autopsy and identification.
