Rawalpindi: Girl kidnapped, gang-raped for 5 days
RAWALPINDI: The people witnessed height of lawlessness when a 13-year-old school girl was lifted by two car-riding persons publicly in broad daylight on 19th of this month, took her to an unknown place and gang–raped her for five days but the police refused to take up the case, when the mother of the abducted girl went to Civil Line Police Station, saying that her daughter willingly ran away with her boyfriend.
The kidnapping episode happened a few hundred yards from the police station and close to main offices of police heads outside the Jinnah Park. On 19th of March, when the kidnapped girl didn’t come to home, her mother, Amber Sultana, resident of Street–16, Rahimabad, went to Civil Lines Police Station to lodge complaint about missing of her daughter, but the police refused to register FIR regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, Sultana received a telephone call from captors who demanded ransom for release of her daughter, she informed the police about the call but all in vain. However, kidnapped girl Nagina managed to escape from the captivity and reached home. Her mother straightaway took her to the police station along with residents of Rahimabad and requested to take up the case but the police ignored the heinous crime and avoided to send the victim girl for medical examination. However, she was taken to hospital at about 8 p.m.
Nagina, narrating her tale, told the police that she was walking towards her home when a car stopped near her and a rider came out of the car and pushed her into the car, adding that one of the two riders, whipped out his gun and asked her to keep silent. They, later, took her to unknown place, gang–rapped her and kept molesting her till her escape.
She said that she saw two housemaids in the house where she was detained. The police, finally, registered an FIR on 24 March after six days under sections 376 and 364–A and started investigation.
