Lahore: Illegal contractors arrested
LAHORE: Railways Police, Lahore, arrested illegal stand contractors from Railway Station, Lahore and a Railway employee at Loco Shop, Mughalpura, on charges of stealing engine leads. The Railways police IGP received complaint about an illegal stand at Railway Station, Lahore and collection of fee Rs 10 per rickshaw. The IGP directed Railways police SSP to take action against them.
The Railway Station, Lahore, traffic in charge arrested three persons Asghar Ali of Muridke, Saeed Ahmad of Lahore and Muhammad Asghar of Railway Road, Lahore red handed when they were receiving illegal rickshaw stand fee at Railway Station.
A case, 243/12 U/S 384/420 PPC, has been registered against them at the RPS. Meanwhile, Railway employee Mumtaz was caught by the Railway police staff on the gate for trying to carry engine leads by stealing them from Loco Shop, Mughalpura, Lahore. A case has been registered against him at RPS, Workshops Mughalpura.
In another incident, Naseem Ahmad, a resident of Lahore, was going to Karachi from Lahore by train when at Okara railway station, a thief stole his bag. He raised hue and cry. A duty constable apprehended the accused from the platform.
