Kidnapped official freed in Lakki
LAKKI MARWAT: The superintendent of the matriculation examinations kidnapped the previous day was freed as he reached the school in Wanda Shahabkhel on Wednesday, sources said. The sources said four gunmen had entered the building of the Government High School in Wanda Shahabkhel and kidnapped Superintendent Aurangzeb Khan.
Following the incident, the police closed all the exit points in the district and started checking the vehicles on the Indus Highway near the bridge over river Kurram.
However, the official could not be recovered during the raids. “Surprisingly, the superintendent reached the school in the morning to report for duty,” a villager said. The sources quoting the official said that the gunmen freed him after his identity was confirmed.
