Lahore: Police recover 10 stolen cars
LAHORE: The Anti-Vehicles Lifting Staff (City Division) claimed to have arrested a car thief on Saturday and recovered 10 cars worth Rs 5 million from his possession. According to details, on the directive of Capital City Police Officer Ahmed Raza Tahir, DIG (Investigation) Malik Ali Amir and SSP (Investigation) Abdul Razaq Cheema directed CRO SP Jamat Ali Bukhari to take effective measures against car-lifting gangs.
The official constituted a special team under the supervision of Anti-Vehicle Lifting Staff DSP Aftab Ahmed Phularwan, which collected the particulars of Muhammad Boota gang and arrested the ringleader. The criminal is a history-sheeter and 10 cases have been traced against him.
The police have recovered 10 cars from his possession, while further investigation is underway. The CCPO has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the raiding team.
