Karachi: Robbers jailed for 3 years
KARACHI: A district and sessions court sentenced three men to as many years in prison in a robbery case. Moshin, Mohammad Noman and Qari Altaf were held accountable for committing the offence within the remit of the New Karachi Industrial Area police station in January 2011.
District and Session Judge (central) Sofia Latif also imposed a fine of Rs20,000 each and in case of non-payment they would have to undergo an additional six months in prison.
A case (FIR 13/11) was registered under Sections 397 (robbery or dacoity with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
