Larkana: 2 commit suicide
LARKANA: Two youth in their twenties committed suicide in two different incidents here on Monday. Shoukat Ali Bugti, 19, a jobless youth, who had applied for a job in a number of government departments, got dejected and ended his life with the help of a pistol. The incident took place in village Raees Faqeer Mohammed Bugti on the outskirts of Larkana city.
In another incident Zubair Mirani, 20, shot himself dead at his home, after he was admonished for disobeying his elders in Ayub colony. In yet another incident, Arif Bhutto killed his sister Sonam Bhutto, 20, in village Ghulam Bhutto on Monday. Her father Fateh Mohammed Bhutto registered an FIR against his son Arif Bhutto for killing his daughter allegedly for delay in preparation of food, police said. Arif escaped after committing the crime.
According to reports from Gaji Khuhawar, a young woman Moomal alias Shabnam Bhatti, 22, was kidnapped from village Sultan Jatoi on Monday. The kidnappers broke into the house of Sikandar Bhatti and abducted her. Before leaving the scene the kidnappers opened fire on Sikandar Bhatti for resisting them. The injured had been admitted to Chandka Medical College Hospital.
According to family sources, Dilshad, sister of Moomal, had married Abdul Ghaffar Bhatti of Hyderabad at her free will one year ago. Using elders` pressure, the victim family got back Dilshad and later arranged her marriage with Tunios in village Joonani.
Dissatisfied with the decision, Abdul Ghaffar Bhatti filed a petition in Sindh High Court circuit bench Hyderabad. The case, subsequently transferred to civil court Warah, was still pending when this incident took place.
Police sources, however, doubted the kidnapping incident and were investigating it. Injured Sikandar Bhatti had been referred to medico legal section of the CMCH to ascertain whether the injury is self-inflicted. Medical report would expose genuineness of kidnapping incident, police sources added.
