Karachi: Firing incidents claim 3 more lives
KARACHI: Firing incidents in the metropolis claimed three more lives on Tuesday, while life in Lyari limped back to normalcy following two days of uncertainty, Geo news reported. According to the report, a person was gunned down in Orangi town area. Another man was shot dead on Burns road, triggering tensions in the area and forcing businessmen to shut down their shops.
A clash between two groups took place in Pehalwan Goth, killing at least one person.According to the Scouts Rabita Council spokesman, a person who was killed in the clash was a member of Hussaini scouts. The violence erupted in Pehalwan Goth after killing of a man. Shops were forced to close in the area. Stones were pelted at cars on Munawar and Kamran Chowrangi while incidents of arson were also reported.
Heavy contingent of Rangers and police were summoned to control the situation in the area. Meanwhile, angry mobs also held demonstration on Shahra e Pakistan near Ancholi. A police mobile was set ablaze at Sohrab Goth. Police fired tear gas to disrupt the protesters. Police and FC have been deployed in the area.
