Rawalpindi: The Nation’s staffer escapes attack
RAWALPINDI: The Nation’s news reporter escaped a deadly attack when he was attacked near Darbar Chowk, Rawalpindi, by drug peddlers late Tuesday night. According to details, two drug peddlers launched an armed attack on The Nation’s news reporter Israr Ahmed at about 11:30pm near Darbar Chowk, Hayyal Village. The assailants fired seven bullets on him, however, Israr luckily remained safe.
Later, the drug peddlers thrashed Israr, damaged his motorcycle, snatched Rs 50,000 and mobile phone from him, and ran away while resorting to aerial firing. Later, a case was registered with the Police Station Bairooni on the complaint of the victim.
