Islamabad: Dacoits in guise of transporters arrested
ISLAMABAD: A police spokesman on Wednesday said Sabzi Mandi police busted two gangs of dacoits who in the guise of transporters looted passengers at gunpoint. Following the complaints from various passengers for being robbed of their money and other valuables while travelling on the vans, a special police team under the supervision of DSP Asharaf Shah and SHO Sabzi Mandi police station inspector Abid Ikram were tasked to trace the perpetrators.
This team succeeded in busting two gangs involved in the robberies. The members of first gang were identified as Sardar Ali, Khaista Khan, Sajid, Gohar Ali, Tilawat Shah and Fiaz, while the other gang members were identified as Kareemullah, Daud Shah, Niaz Ali, Nur Ali and Rehman Gul. The nabbed criminals confessed to their crimes during the preliminary investigation.
