Karachi: AVCC police recover kidnapped teenagers
KARACHI: The Anti–Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) police recovered two teenagers in a raid conducted at Al-Asif Square, late Wednesday night. SP AVCC, Ghulam Subhani informed that Yousuf Khan, 17 and Arshad Khan, 15, had been kidnapped about a month ago from the limits of the Pirabad police station. The ransom calls of Rs 0.2 million and Rs 0.5 million were being made from Afghanistan to the families of Yousuf and Arshad respectively.
Yousuf’s father is a contractor while Arshad’s father is associated with the hundi business. Acting on a tip off, the AVCC raided an apartment J-17 in Al-Asif Square and recovered the two boys. However, none of the suspects could be arrested during the raid.
