Islamabad: Police arrest 7 in various cases
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police on Thursday arrested seven outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered hash and weapons from them, a police spokesman said. On a tip-off, Sub–Inspector Liaqat Ali from Kohsar Police Station arrested a drug pusher Mansha Masih, and recovered 1.5 kilogrammes of hashish from his possession, while Assistant Sub–Inspector Muhammad Iqbal from Shalimar police arrested Haleem and Saleem and recovered robbed items from them.
Sub–Inspector Umar Amir of the Golra Police nabbed two persons, Fiaz and Arif, for allegedly selling diesel without any permit or no-objection certificate, whereas Sub–Inspector Khalid Javed recovered two 30–bore pistols from Saifullah and Khalid Mehmood. Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway. Islamabad Senior Superintendent of Police Muhammad Yousaf Malik has directed all police officials to ensure effective policing in their respective areas.
