Quetta: SC orders arrest of 3 Balochistan ministers
QUETTA: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered the Balochistan government to loge cases and arrest three of its ministers allegedly involved in kidnapping for ransom as provincial minister Sadiq Imrani told media last week. The orders came during the hearing of a case pertaining to law and order situation in Balochistan. A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing the case in Supreme Court Balochistan registry on Thursday.
The CJ also summoned IG Frontier Corps Ubaidullah Khattak over Sadiq Imrani’s shocking revelation about involvement of provincial ministers in kidnapping for ransom.
The chief justice asked Chief Secretary Balochistan to take action against those responsible in kidnapping. “You don’t need to be afraid of taking action,” the CJ told the secretary.
