Rawalpindi: Ex-army man’s house robbed
RAWALPINDI: An ex–army officer’s house was ransacked by three robbers who got away with prize bonds valuing R525 million, gold jewellery and Rs 215, 000 after injuring him here in Lalazar Colony, police said on Thursday.
Lal Hussain, an ex–army officer residing in Lalazar had hard ly entered his house after parking his car in the garage when three unidentiﬁed persons appeared and forced their way in. The vicﬁm said in his complaint that the intruders pulled out their pistols and held the inmates hostage. One of the robbers kept on guard while his two accomplices started searching the house. Hussain was injured after being beaten by the robbers as he tried to overpower one of them.
