Timergara: 3 students commit suicide in Lower Dir over failing in exams
TIMERGARA: Three students of government-run schools committed suicide in separate villages of Lower Dir district after failing their annual examination, sources said on Thursday. The sources said one Ahmad Khan, a Class–VII student of Government Middle School Kumbar in the Maidan area, killed himself after failing the annual school examination. Another boy Habibullah, who was a Class–V student at the Government High School in Manyal, also committed suicide due to failure in the examination.
Both the boys died after consuming a chemical substance used to kill rodents such as mice and rats. Another student Abdullah, who was student of Government High School in Lajabuk in Class–VIII, hanged himself to death over the same reason as he too had failed to pass his school examination, the sources said.
