Bahawalpur: Rs 0.8m looted from Rescue 1122 office
BAHAWALPUR: Four dacoits took away more than Rs 800,000 from the main office of Rescue 1122 Bahawalpur near Kali Pully on Friday. The dacoits entered the Rescue 1122 office and snatched the salaries of the staff distributing by an accountant. However, 40 staffers who were waiting in queue to get their salary did not show any resistance during the incident.
When contacted, regional rescue officer Asif Channar refused to provide any details and said that he was investigating the matter. However, Bahawalpur City SDPO Mirza Arif Rasheed confirmed the dacoity incident. On the other hand, the staffers of the Rescue 1122 office blamed that the incident occurred due to alleged negligence of the accountant. They demanded thorough investigation of the incident.
