Islamabad: Gamblers, drug pushers among 36 arrested
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 36 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered stolen car, huge quantity of wine bottles, hashish, weapons and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Saturday. On a tip off, Station House Officer of Bhara Kahu Police Station, Inspector Mehboob Hussain, Sub–Inspector Masnoor Ahmed along with police team raided at a gambling den at Madina Town and arrested 13 gamblers besides recovering stake money in thousands of rupees and 14 mobile phones.
The nabbed gamblers were identified as Nazeer, Bilal, Babar Khan, Jamal, Shamim Akhtar, Nawaz, Nemat Ullah, Gul Zeb, Musaddiq Hussain, Saleem, Wahid and Qasiar Mehmud.
Sub–Inspector Abdul Ghafoor from Bhara Kahu police nabbed Amjad Ali and recovered car (LWA–3627), which was found stolen from the area of Musatafa Abad Police Station in Lahore. Sub–Inspector Munir Ahmed from Aabpara police arrested Aamir Masih and recovered cash from him, which he snatched from a woman Naseem Akhtar in sector G-7/2.
Sub–Inspector Muhammad Ali and ASI Haider Ali arrested two accused Asif and Amin Akhtar for having stolen valuables and having 20 wine bottles respectively. ASI Muhammad Ishfaq from Bhara Kahu Police Station apprehended Adnan Masih and recovered 24 wine bottles from him while ASI Muhammad Sarfaraz from CIA police arrested Rafaqat Hameed in possession of 24 wine bottles.
Sub–Inspectors Muhammad Yousuf and Yar Muhammad from Tarnol police apprehended two women Bashiran Bibi and Saima Bib besides recovering 1.556-kilogram hashish from them.
Meanwhile, Sub–Inspector Shaukat Ali, ASIs Muhammad Niaz, Badar Munir and Muhammad Haneef from Shehzad Town police arrested four accused namely Latif, Zarshad, Waqas Haider and Nauman Rafaqat and recovered a total of two pistols, one 12–bore guns and seven wine bottles from them. ASI Bin Yameen from Margalla police arrested an accused Zaheer in possession of 30–bore pistol while ASI Muhammad Arif from Raman police arrested Izat Khan for having a 30–bore pistol. ASI Abdul Ghafoor from Tarnol police arrested Sher Khan for having a 30–bore pistol while a thief Rab Nawaz was arrested by ASI Aurangzeb from Sihala Police Station and stolen items worth Rs 150,000 were also recovered from him.
On a tip off, Sub–Inspector Jamshed Khan from Shalimar Police Station raided at House No 331, Street No 32, sector F-11/2 and recovered 22 cans of beer from there. Two persons Ramzan and Sajid Mehmud were also arrested during this raid.
ASI Faiz Ahmed from Ramna police nabbed four persons Naeem Ullah, Majeed Ullah, Sajjad and Zuhra for their alleged involvement in immoral activities. The cases have been registered against these nabbed persons under relevant sections and further investigation is underway from them.
