Quetta: Cop, FC man among 5 killed in Balochistan
QUETTA/KALAT/CHAMAN: Five persons, including a police cop and an FC soldier were killed, in separate incidents in different areas of Balochistan on Saturday. According to details, armed men opened fire on a person named Nasir and killed him on Brewery Road in the provincial capital.
Transporters blocked Saryab Road and held protest demonstration against the incident. Traffic remained suspended for several hours and long queues were seen on both sides of the road.
In Barkhan, unidentified armed men opened fire at a check post of security forces killing one soldier identified as Shafiullah Jan while Niabat Khan was injured.
Meanwhile, in main bazaar of Kalat, unknown armed men opened fire at a police ASI Abdul Samad Sasoli, killing him on the spot and fled the scene. The police said the shooting incident could be the outcome of personal enmity. In Chaman, a speeding car crushed a woman and injured another person on Murda Karez road.
During a quarrel at a bus terminal located at Saryab Road in Quetta, an accused opened fire critically injuring a bus driver. The injured was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his wounds during treatment.
