Karachi unrest: Lyari violence kills 1, injures several others
KARACHI: As many as five people including three women were injured with gunshots in the city area of Lyari in a fresh spate of violent incidents, SAMAA reports Wednesday. One injured man died at hospital. According to details, some unidentified miscreants forced the closure of shops in different areas of Lyari in the metropolis followed by firing incidents.
Some miscreants resorted to indiscriminate aerial firing injuring a woman Saira riding a rickshaw along with her two small girls Shirin and Atia in Lee Market. In Naya Abad area also, two people were injured in firing incident. Two students—Haroon, 17 and Umar, 19—were shot injured while they were coming out of a mosque in Khadda Market.
The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital. Of them, a man could not succumb to injuries and soon expired. Some injured are in critical state. Police in heavy contingents arrived in the area to bring the situation under control. SAMAA
