Islamabad: 11 outlaws held with fake prize bonds, drugs
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police on Thursday arrested 11 persons, including diesel sellers of official vehicles, from various areas of the city and recovered 1.320–kilogram hashish, fake prize bonds, 14 wine bottles and stolen diesel from their possession, a police spokesman said. According to details, Sub–Inspector Muhammad Idrees from Tarnol police Station arrested a drug pusher identified as Abdul Wahab in possession of 1.120–kilogram hashish. Sub–Inspector Abdul Sattar from Margallah police nabbed Sheeraz Ahmed in possession of fake prize bonds worth Rs 25,000. ASI Muhammad Raees arrested Shehzad Masih for having 13 wine bottles while a mobile thief Shakeel was also apprehended by him.
Meanwhile, ASI Umer Hyat from Nilore police nabbed two theft accused Qaisar Mehmud and Aruganzeb besides recovering stolen diesel worth Rs 50,000 from them. These accused used to sell diesel of officials vehicles and police is hopeful to get further important information from them.
ASI Muhammad Iqbal from Shalimar police station arrested two accused Haleem and Saleem and recovered stolen items worth thousands of rupees from them. Sub–Inspector Muhammad Aslam from Ramna police station nabbed Safeer for having one wine bottle while ASI Arshad Mehmud from Sabzi Mandi police arrested Ali Raza in possession of 40 cartridges of 12–bore gun.
Sub–Inspector Masnoor Ahmed from Bhara Kahu police arrested Waqas Ahmed for having 300–gram hashish. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons under relevant sections and further investigation is underway from them. SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to intensify vigilance and patrolling in their respective areas.
