Islamabad: Notorious car thief held
ISLAMABAD: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police arrested a notorious car thief, who used to sell stolen vehicles after preparing their fake documents and recovered four cars from his possession, the police spokesman said. The CIA, during an operation against the carjacking mafia, arrested Mehmud Hussain, son of Mangu Khan, resident of Thanda Pani, Islamabad, involved in the criminal activity.
During preliminary investigation, the accused confessed that he along with his accomplice, Rizwan Shah, had sold stolen cars at low prices after preparing their fake documents to Badshah Khan, a resident of Charsadda.
The police team also succeeded in recovering four cars — a Honda Civic (LRM–383), Honda City (LWO–3293), Toyota Corolla (LOE–4238) and Shehzore (LES–8457) — from him. Teams have been constituted to arrest his accomplices and receiver of stolen cars.
