Lahore: Bail of Sapna’s father, brothers extended
LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Rai Muhammad Ayub Khan on Wednesday extended interim bails of Sapna Khan’s father and two brothers allegedly involved in preparing forged birth certificate of Sapna, said to be wife of former Punjab Chief Minister Dost Muhammad Khosa, by May 9. The court extended bails of the accused after the police officials requested adjournment on the plea that investigation was yet to be completed.
On Wednesday, petitioners Misal Khan, Muhammad Amin and Faisal Khan implored the court that they had been implicated in a false case merely to humiliate. They told the court the FIR was registered against them on March 30 after nine months of the occurrence.
According to details, complainant former CM Dost Muhammad Khosa registered FIR in Racecorse police under Sections 471,365,420 and 468 of PPC against the aforementioned accused persons. He contended that accused persons prepared forged birth certificate of Sana Khan. He said he married Sapna Khan and they had a daughter named Mah Gull. After that relations between them started straiing as a result of which he divorced Sapna on June 19, 2011.
SHO’s comments sought in Dost case: Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Hussain Sial on Wednesday sought comments from the Racecourse SHO on April 21 on a petition seeking arrest of the former Chief Minister Dost Khosa and others.
As per details, petitioner Misal Khan, through his counsel Azher Siddique, contended that he had submitted an application for registration of abduction–cum–murder case against Dost Khosa in November 2011. He stated that on December 7, a sessions court issued orders for registration of a criminal case against Khosa and others. Later, orders of same nature were issued by the Lahore High Court, the petitioner added.
The LHC, in its orders, had stated that the investigation should be conducted by a superior investigation wing, he said, adding thathe and his family were facing enormous pressure to withdraw the case. He alleged that police is cooperating with former CM and not arresting Khosa along with not holding investigation on merit.
He implored the court to direct DSP Safder Raza Kazmi to hold investigation on merit and arrest the accused.
Ayesha Ahad: Additional District and Sessions Judge Safdar Ali Bhatti on Wednesday ordered the CCPO Lahore to provide necessary protection to Ayesha Ahad Malik, who claims to be spouse of Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, on her petition seeking protection.
The court has also directed the IG Punjab, DIG Operation, SP Cantt and SHO Southern Cantt not to harass the petitioner.
