5 killed in separate Sukkur incidents
SUKKUR: Five persons, including a woman, were killed and five injured in different incidents here on Sunday. Reports said that in village Salaar Maarfani in Gharhi Yaseen a clash erupted between the Maarfani and Jafferi clans over a piece of land, claiming the life of one Sakina Maarfani. Police shifted the body to a hospital and was investigating the matter. In another incident, villager Muhammad Nawaz Koash was killed in an armed clash between the Dhonda and Koash clans over a piece of land in the limits of Obaro in Ghotki.
Meanwhile, armed men gunned down labourer Deedar Solangi and his companion at the New Larkana Bus Stand. Police rushed to the incident and shifted the bodies to a hospital. Police said the incident was the result of an old enmity between two groups of Solangis.
Furthermore, at Indus Highway near Khanpur, a motorcyclist Abdul Majeed was killed as a speedy van hit him from behind. Police said on Sunday a Punjab–bound bus rammed into motorcycle and a donkey cart due to failure of its brakes, injuring Tehmina, Benazir, Ahmed Ali, Pervaiz Shah and Ahmed Ali. All the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital, where there condition was said to be stable.
