Islamabad: 24 arrested; weapons, alcohol seized
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police on Monday arrested 24 persons, including 11 suspects and recovered one stolen car, 292 bottles of alcohol, three pistols and robbed items from them, a police spokesman said. Sub–Inspectors Muhammad Azam and Muhammad Tehseen, ASIs Muhammad Sarwar, Tariq Rauf and Zafar Ibqal arrested seven accused and recovered 269 bottles of alcohol, three pistols and stolen items from their possession.
The nabbed persons were identified as Yousuf Masih, Naveed Masih, Ameen Masih, Saiful Rehman, Baradar Khan, Jawad and Mohsin Ali. ASI Qamar Ejaz from Sabzi Mandi police station recovered a car from an accused, Tahir Khan, while ASI Rafiullah arrested a bootlegger and recovered 15 bottles of alcohol from him and eight cans of beer, while a thief, Waheed, was also arrested. Meanwhile. Shalimar police arrested 11 suspects during a search operation in its area.
