Lakki Marwat: Man killed; DPO directs for arresting accused
LAKKI MARWAT: G Mursalin Marwat – An armed man was killed by his companions while they were making an attempt of kidnapping in Kotka Shah Jehan near Naurang Town, sources said Thursday. Gul Taib Khan lodged an FIR with Shaheed Asmatullah Khan Khattak Police Station stating that he, his sons and brothers were asleep when he heard a noise in the house and saw 10 armed men dressed in army uniform. “They were talking to one another in Urdu and I recognised five of them,” the complainant said, adding that the armed men were Barkat Shah, Zer Muhammad and Mummad, residents of Torikhel Mirali and Ghani Wazir and Badam, residents of Miranshah, along with five other accomplices.
He said they entered the house with an intention to kidnap his sons over a property dispute. He said two of them Zer Muhammad and Mummad overpowered his son Qudratullah and in a bid to capture his second son Hidayatullah they fired at the door and window of a room wherein he was asleep.
“The firing by armed men resulted in killing of one of their own accomplices who was identified as Waseem Sajjad, resident of Landidak,” he maintained. He said that the armed men later escaped leaving behind the dead body of their companion.
A police official who visited the crime scene said that police shifted the dead body to Naurang civil hospital for post mortem and seized a klashnikov, magazines and nine bullets from the place.
He said a case was registered against the accused persons under relevant section of law and investigation was started into the incident. Meanwhile, taking notice of the incident DPO Ummar Riaz directed the police officials to arrest the accused nominated in the FIR and trace their other accomplices.
He also directed the officials to ensure recovery of weapons and army uniforms used in the crime, calling upon the investigators of police department to bring actual facts of the crime incident to fore on the basis of solid evidence and transparent investigation.
