Vehicles, valuables taken away in Gujranwala hits
GUJRANWALA: Bandits made off with cash, jewellery, vehicles and other valuables in many hits here on Saturday. Four armed bandits entered the house of Muhammad Tasleem at New Model Town, Kamoke and after taking family members hostage took away gold ornaments. Three armed bandits waylaid ASI Ghulam Mustafa at Khiali Road and snatched Rs 16,000 and a cell phone at gunpoint. Two armed bandits waylaid Ahmad and Nazir Hussain going on a bike at Sadr Police area and snatched cash and a cellphone.
Five armed bandits waylaid a factory worker, Wajid Yasin, at Khiali Police area and snatched Rs 26,000 cellphones and motorbike GAL 6813. Later, one of the dacoits was caught and handed over to Khiali Police. The accused was identified as Sultan, who told the police names of his accomplices as Tanvir, Zulfiqar, Dilawar and Razzaq. Khiali Police are investigating. Two armed bandits snatched Rs 505,000 from the manager of a food factory, Mumtaz Hassan.
The victim was going on bike to despot cash in a bank. Two armed bandits wearing masks entered the house of Gepco employee Afzal at Peoples Colony and snatched ornaments from his wife and daughter. Two armed bandits waylaid motorcyclist Muhammad Iqbal on Sialkot Road and snatched cash, cellphones and motor bike GAL 6480. Thieves broke into the house of Mahmood Hussain at village Nagri Ahmad Shah and took away cash 4000 and valuables. Vehicles lifters took away motor cycle GAL 4986 of Khalid from Arafat Colony.
It was parked outside a house. Thieves took away car LH 837 of Nasrullah Khan from Mustafabad. The owner had parked the car outside of his house. Thieves took away bike of one Iqbal from City Housing Scheme. Thieves took away car LZL 3344 of Shehbaz from Sabzi Mandi.
