Rawalpindi: Kidnappers’ gang busted
RAWALPINDI: Police has smashed a five-member kidnapping gang, including two women, who had abducted a man for ransom and later killed him. Police also recovered a vehicle, used in the crime, from the possession of the accused identified as Mirza Javed alias Asad, Jahangir alias Ali, Asif alias Zebi, Zaheer, Shumaila and Kinza, informed police spokesman Inspector Raja Fayyaz here on Tuesday.
According to Fayyaz, the kidnappers lifted a person Muhammad Siddique for ransom on April 20, 2012 but later murdered him and threw the dead body in Gulzar–e–Quaid, an area in the limits of Police Station (PS) Airport. A case has been registered against the kidnappers while further investigation was under way, said spokesman.
