Rawalpindi: Women robbed
RAWALPINDI: Two women were robbed of cash and gold in Dhoke Hassu and Westridge in almost a similar fashion, police said on Tuesday. Zaheer Mughal, in a complaint to Ratta Amral police, said he had gone out of the city leaving his wife and children at home. On his return his wife Ms Rashida told him that a woman along with two men came to her house and offered her charity food. The terror-stricken woman told her husband that they forced their way into the house and started thrashing her. Later the intruders took her at gunpoint and forced her to give up cash and gold ornaments lying in the house.
She said they took away Rs50,000, two digital cameras, gold ornaments, a cellphone and a licensed pistol. In another incident, Shaista Jabeen, the robbery victim told police that she was at home when two robbers entered and took her at gunpoint. She said the gunmen snatched gold bangles she was wearing at that time and managed to escape.
