Dacoits have a field day in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI: The bandits hit at three places in Rawalpindi division on Wednesday and looted cash, gold ornaments, mobile phones and other valuables worth millions of rupees. Police lodged cases against the unknown burglars and launched investigation with no arrest of recovery so far. According the details, a house maid namely Saima along with two male accomplices equipped with sophisticated weapons stormed into the house of her owner Mahroof Jan at Takya Baba Shah Raheem Shah, the area of Police Station (PS) Gujarkhan.
The armed robbers locked the lady in a room, collected two gold rings, one necklace, Rs 25000, 1300 British Pounds and a mobile phone and run away. In another daring daylight dacoity incident, two bike riders intercepted a couple at gunpoint at Abadi No 3 of Tench Bhatta, the precinct of PS RA Bazaar, and snatched 3 gold bangles. After committing the crime, the dacoits fled. The victim Raja Javed lodged a complaint with area police to take action against the dacoits.
Similarly, two dacoits riding on a motorcycle stopped another couple at Basti, the limits of PS Wah Cannt City. The dacoits whipped out guns and pointed on Syed Waqar Ali Nizami and his wife and looted Rs 15,000, 9 tolas of gold and mobile phone. The burglars decamped after depriving the couple from valuables. The victim couple appeared before area police for legal action against the looters. Police took up cases against the unknown dacoits and started investigation.
