Karachi: Notice issued on bail plea
KARACHI: A sessions court issued on Monday a notice to the prosecution to argue on the bail application of an accused facing trial in a triple murder case. Rehan Khan Niazi and Tazeen alias Jasmine have been charged with killing a legal adviser of the Karachi Electric Supply Company, Advocate Fahim-ul-Karim, and Wajid Mughal and Qurrat-ul-Ain alias Ainee in the apartment-cum-office of Mr Karim on Sept 5, 2011 in Defence Housing Authority.
Accused Niazi, through his lawyer, moved the bail application before Additional District and Sessions Judge (south) Javed Ahmed Keerio, who is conducting the trial at the judicial complex inside the central prison. The court issued notice to the prosecutor for May 14.
A case (FIR 340/11) was registered under Section 302 (premeditated murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code at the Defence police station. The accused were arrested a week after the incident.
