Lakki Marwat: Man shot dead
LAKKI MARWAT: A man was killed over a dispute in Tajazai area in the vicinity of Ghaznikhel police station. Two passersby, including a police constable, also sustained bullet injuries in the incident, said police. Police said the accused Ihsanullah, Ali Pur, Bilal and Shafiullah, opened indiscriminate fire on their rival identified as Fidaullah, resident of Ghaznikhel, killing him instantly. They said a policeman, Salman, and a rickshaw driver were also injured in the firing. A police party chased the culprits and succeeded to arrest one of them identified as Shafiullah.
Meanwhile, workers of Wapda Hydro Central Electric Labour Union locked Pesco offices on Tuesday as mark of protest against the proposed privatisation of Pesco.
The sub–divisional, revenue and other offices remained closed causing numerous problems for locals. The workers also held a meeting wherein the union’s divisional chairman Haji Jamal Shah Abakhel and others warned the government against privatising the Pesco.
