Rawalpindi: 19 outlaws including six gamblers held
RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested 19 lawbreakers including six gamblers and recovered over 15–kilogram charas and illegal weapons. According to police spokesman, police seized 10 bottles of liquor, 15,370–gram charas, four pistols 30–bore with nine rounds, one gun 12–bore, one rifle 7mm and one stolen motorcycle from the arrested accused. The spokesman further informed that Westridge police recovered 13–kg charas from a drug pusher namely Naeem while 2,100 grams charas was also recovered from the custody of Toseef.
Meanwhile, acting on a tip-off, Sadiqabad police conducted a raid at a gambling den in Dhoke Kashmirian and arrested six gamblers namely Ghulam Mustafa, Saghir, Arshad, Bashir, Ghulab Khan and Zulfiquar. Police also recovered Rs 6,300 stake money with three mobile phones and other items from their custody. Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further investigation is underway.
