Rawalpindi: Impersonators deprive prize bond dealer of Rs1.6m
RAWALPINDI: In a daring daylight robbery, two persons, posing as FIA/CIA personnel, deprived a man of Rs1.6 million, who runs cash and bonds business in Chaklala Scheme III, near Ammar Chowk, Rawalpindi, on Wednesday. Muhammad Hashir, while on his way home in his car after withdrawing cash and prize bonds from Al-Habib Bank, Scheme III, was intercepted by two unidentified robbers riding a Honda Civic car.
One robber, carrying wireless set in his hand and impersonating as secret agency official asked Hashir to come out, as he wanted to check his car. When Hashir came out, the person lifted the bag and immediately sped away his car, which was driven by another person. Hashir raised hue and cry but to no avail. Hashir has lodged an application of robbery case with the police check post in Chaklala Scheme III.
