Gujranwala: CE among 5 PHED officers booked for Rs 35m corruption
GUJRANWALA: The Anti–Corruption Establishment on Monday registered a case against five officers of the Public Health Engineering Department and a construction company for embezzling Rs 35 million. Those booked are the Public Health Engineering Department north zone chief engineer, the SE, XEN Nasim Khalid, SDO Muhammad Ahmad and Sub–Engineer Zaigham Abbas and a construction company owner. The case was registered after charges proved against them during the inquiry launched on the complaint of Khalid Ahmad of Naukhar village. The complainant alleged that the accused engineers had misappropriated Rs 35 million in provision of civic amenities at the village.
