Islamabad: 5 arrested; 3 stolen bikes, CNG kits recovered
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have arrested five criminals, including a motorcycle thief, and recovered from them three stolen motorbikes, some CNG kits, eight cans of beer, and an undisclosed number of weapons, a police spokesman said on Wednesday. According to the spokesman, Sub–Inspector Muhammad Ali, of the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA), had arrested the motorcycle thief and recovered the three bikes from his possession.
The bikes — YN-257, XM-392 and KL-447 — were lifted from different areas of the Capital. Meanwhile, the police have put the total value of the CNG kits, also recovered from the bike lifter, at Rs.180,000. In other cases, ASI Safdar Hussain, of the Kohsar Police Station, caught one Danish Jaleel Masih for allegedly possessing eight cans of beer. Another ASI, Nusrat Ali, of the Bhara Kau Police Station, apprehended one Sadeem, who was in possession of a 30–bore pistol. Yet another SI, Muhammad Shafique, according to the spokesman, arrested one Shehbaz for the alleged illegal possession of yet another 30–bore pistol.
