Islamabad: 17 suspects, 4 outlaws arrested
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police on Thursday arrested 17 suspects and four outlaws from various areas of the city during search operation in various areas and recovered illegal weapons and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said. According to details, Assistant Sub–Inspector Irsahd Ahmed from Secretariat police arrested Jehangir and recovered looted items worth thousands of rupees from their possession. Sub–Inspector Muhammad Ali from Crime Investigation Agency of Islamabad police recovered one motorbike, CNG kit from an accused Naveed.
ASI Tipu Sultan from Sabzi Mandi police apprehended Gulzali Khan for having 12 bore gun while ASI Muhammad Riaz from Sihala police arrested Abdul Rehman for possessing pistol.
Meanwhile, Police teams of Sabiz Mandi, Sihala, Tarnol police stations arrested a total of 17 suspects during search operation in their respective areas.
SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has appreciated this performance and directed all police officials for effective patrolling and vigilance in their respective areas.
