Lahore: Man held for impersonating chief minister’s secretary
LAHORE: The Lahore police arrested a man on the charge of impersonating Secretary of the Punjab Chief Minister. The arrested swindler was identified as Samiullah Nayar. Police said the accused used to make phone calls to the officers of Police, Irrigation and Education Departments and make recommendations pertaining to transfers and postings for different people.
The accused also phoned the MD Punjab Seed Corporation and asked him for the transfer of an officer posted in Rahim Yar Khan. During the course of verification, it was found that no such man with the said name served at the Chief Minister Secretariat. A case was registered against the accused at Mozang police station on May 14, 2012.
