Peshawar: Postmaster, assistant postmaster arrested
PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday arrested two Pakistan Post officials for being involved in irregularities regarding payment of pension money to military personnel. Postmaster Jandola Alla–ud–Din and Shah Nawaz, assistant postmaster, Tank were allegedly involved in misappropriating Rs38 million pension money.
The Bureau authorised an inquiry after receiving a complaint regarding fraudulent payment in military pension in Jandola, Tank and other post offices of the area. According to a statement issued here on Thursday a thorough inquiry was conducted into the matter. The accused persons will be produced before the accountability court for obtaining their physical remand.
