Islamabad: 132kg hashish recovered, 5 apprehended
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police on Tuesday arrested five outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 1.240-kilogram hashish and three pistols from their possession, a police spokesman said. On a tip off, Sub-Inspector Hakim Khan from Aabpara police station arrested a drug pusher Usman Ali Azam and recovered 1.110-kilogram hashish from him.
Sub-Inspector, Muneer Hussain from Ramna Police Station arrested Shafique for having 130-kilogram hashish. Meanwhile, Shehzad town police arrested an accused Pervez for having 30-bore pistol.
While Sihala police arrested Arsh Yusuf Gul and recovered 30-bore pistol from him and Sub-Inspector Shahid Mehmud nabbed Imran for also having 30-bore pistol. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.
SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik directed the police officials to intensify vigilance and patrolling in their respective areas.
