Karachi: Man kills wife over ‘extra-marital relations’ with neighbour
KARACHI: A man stabbed his wife to death on Tuesday over her alleged extra-marital relations with their neighbour. Ghulam Saddaqat, after a heated argument with his wife Sajida, 35, at their residence in Arfat Town, Block-L, picked up a knife and attacked Saijda, killing her on the spot.
Saddaqat surrendered himself to the police after committing the murder, where he confessed that he had killed his wife – who had mothered all five of their children – for having extra-marital relations with their neighbour.
A mobile van of the Taimuria police shifted the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for legal formalities.
Meanwhile, the bullet-riddled body of an unidentified woman was found near 500 Quarters in Musharraf Colony.
Mauripur police were called in by a passer-by who spotted the body, who then shifted the body to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for legal formalities.
The Medico-Legal Officer (MLO) at CHK said that the body bore a number of torture marks and two bullet wounds. She also said that it appeared as if the deceased had been gang raped before being shot to death.
