Lahore: Robbers plunder gold worth Rs16m
LAHORE: Robbers looted gold worth Rs16 million from a trader near Azadi Chowk in the city on Wednesday. Tibbi City police said Zafar Iqbal of Shadbagh was going to Azad Kashmir by a car to sell 3.1 kilo gold when four armed men, riding two motorcycles, approached him near Azadi Chowk and snatched his bag containing gold. Police started investigation after registering a case. Two gun-toting men snatched cash and valuables from Javaid on Outfall Road near Corporation Chowk. They also shot at and injured Javaid when he put up resistance. A Rescue 1122 ambulance shifted the injured to Munshi Hospital.
