8 outlaws held in Hangu
HANGU: The police arrested eight outlaws including four drug–traffickers and seized hashish and arms from them here on Sunday, police official said. Talking to reporters, District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Mian Saeed Ahmed said crackdown against anti-social elements had been launched in the district. He said the police in raids in Babutang and Spinkhaoray villages arrested six outlaws identified as Wazir Gul, Muhammad Adil, Muhammad Iqbal, Mir Akbar, Dil Akbar and Rasool Akbar and seized two kilograms of hashish, two Kalashnikov rifles and two pistols from them.
The DPO said the police in a raid at Doaba town arrested two outlaws, Islam Shah and Mir Ali Shah, and recovered five hand grenades, two Kalashnikov rifles and two kilograms of hashish from their possession.
