Islamabad: 37 outlaws arrested
ISLAMABAD: Police arrested 15 outlaws from various areas of the city with 10 bottles of wine, 2.02-kilogram hashish, 500 gram heroin, three pistols, one dagger and looted items, said a police spokesman on Saturday. A Shehzad Town police team arrested two persons identified as Riaz and Babar besides with 2.04-kilogram hashish, two 30–bore pistols and 36 rounds. Golra police arrested a drug pusher identified as Akram with 500 grams heroin and Ayaz having a 30–bore pistol.
CIA police nabbed Zeeshan Ali, Abid and Waseem for possessing looted items worth thousands of rupees.
Margallah police arrested an accused Asif and recovered a dagger from him. On a tip-off, a Women Police team stopped a car (QJ-936) for checking near G-8 Markaz and recovered ten bottles of wine from it.
They arrested six occupants of the car, including four women identified as Rabia, Kalsoom, Rifat and Saadia and two others Zahid Shah and Shahid Mehmud.
Meanwhile, Rawalpindi police on Saturday claimed to have arrested 22 outlaws and recovered illegal arms, drugs and liquor in special crackdowns against anti–social elements. Waris Khan Police arrested an accused Qasim with 1050 grams charas, Tahira was held on recovery of 1035 grams charas. Saddar Wah Police recovered 1050 grams charas from Shaheen. Rawat Police seized 1030–gram charas and held an accused namely Babar. Banni police nabbed Zaheer with 125 grams charas.
Peerwadhai police seized 145 grams charas from Adil while Westrage police recovered 300–gram charas from Fazal–ur-Rehman.
Rawat Police seized 120 bottles of liquor and arrested an accused Babar while Nisar, Imran, Karamand Khan, Zeeshan, Asad, Hamid were nabbed on recovery of liquor bottles. Similarly, Haseeb, Asif, Azram, Waseem, Sher Khan, Rizwan, Abid, Ansar and Irfan were sent behind the bars as police recovered illegal weapons from them.
