Lahore: Girl gunned down over ‘honour’
LAHORE: A 15–year–old girl was gunned down by her paternal uncle shortly after she refused to listen to his advice of staying at home in the Batapur police area on Saturday. The police concerned said the girl, identified as Sonia of the Wahga village, was killed over illicit relations with someone of the area. Police sources said that the accused Muhammad Ramazan frequently asked her to shun this immoral practice but she turned deaf ears and continued.
On Saturday, he again rebuked her on which both exchanged hot words, which infuriated her uncle. Police said the girl was trying to escape the home when Ramazan opened fire on her.
