Karachi: Order reserved on bail plea of murder suspect
KARACHI: A sessions court reserved on Monday its order on a bail application of a suspect in a case pertaining to the murder of a senior journalist till May 30. Murtaza Razvi, head of Dawn’s magazines, was found dead in an art studio within the remit of the Darakhshan police station on April 19. Seeking bail, Mohammad Waqas contended that police had failed to collect any solid evidence to connect him with the alleged crime.

The police had detained the suspect on April 23 in Gizri and said that after committing the murder, the suspect with his accomplice took away cellphone and other valuables of the victim. Nagar Lal was cited as absconding accused in an interim charge-sheet.
