Dacoits, thieves strike 8 times in Gujranwala
GUJRANWALA: Dacoits and thieves deprived people of cash and valuables in eight incidents here on Friday. In the first incident, three bandits forced their entry into the house of Amir Naeem at Farid Town, took the family hostage and got away with Rs 8,000, five tola gold ornaments, a mobile phone and other valuables. Satellite Town police are investigating. In the second incident, five dacoits broke into the dera of Akram at Noshera Virkan, overpowered him and his servant Sajid and took them to their home at Tatle Aali and took away Rs 55,000, 20 tola gold ornaments and a mobile phone. Police have registered a case and started investigations. In the third incident, two bandits waylaid a woman and her daughters Farida and Shumaila and snatched 10 tola gold ornaments from them.
Sadr police have registered a case and started investigations. In the fourth incident, Afzal and his relative Abdul Sattar of Eminabad were on way when two dacoits intercepted them on Kashmir Road and deprived them of Rs 8,200. People’s Colony police are investigating. In the fifth incident, thieves took away the car of Muhammad Malik from Kot Habibullah. Satellite Town police are investigating. In the sixth incident, burglars took away the motorcycle of Nazir from outside his house at Kamboh Colony. Satellite Town police are investigating.
In the seventh incident, thieves stole the motorcycle of Rizwan, a resident of Baghbanpura, from the National Bank of Pakistan in Civil Lines police limits. In the eighth incident, thieves took away the motorcycle of M Nisar from Depot Street. Civil Lines police are investigating.
