KARACHI: A man allegedly opened fire on his parents and younger brother over a family dispute in Gulbahar police limits on Sunday. Nazar Muhammad, 70, his wife Naseem Roza, 50, and their son Taj Muhammad, 23, received bullet wounds when their elder son Fazal, after exchanging hot words with them, took out his pistol and shot at them at his father’s house in Firdos Colony and fled from the scene. Upon hearing gunshots the area people rushed to the spot and saw them lying injured on the ground.
Later, the area police reached the place and took Taj Muhammad to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, while Nazar Muhammad and his wife Naseem Roza were shifted to Civil Hospital where their condition was said to be critical.
According to the police, Nazar Muhammad’s daughter had escaped with her lover some one-and-a-half months ago and tension was running high among the family members. On Sunday, Fazal came to his parents’ house and after quarrelling with them he lost his temper and opened fire on them. The family hails from Hazarewal.
